What Kind of Woman Are You?

This quiz is adapted from my book Liberate the Leader: Giving Every Woman the Guts to Lead™. I was inspired by the work of Toni Wolff, collaborator and companion of Carl G. Jung. Wolff wrote a paper in 1934 entitled "Structural Forms of the Feminine Psyche", in which she outlined her perception of the four basic forms of the feminine psyche-- the Amazon, the Mother, the Hetaira (a Greek word for companion) and the Medium.

Wolff believed that a woman's self-knowledge and self-realization (translated to GUTS and PERSONAL POWER) would be enhanced when she understood which structural form of the psyche corresponds best to her personality.

You probably identify most with one archetype. Throughout your life, you play the roles of the other types. To really develop your potential as a woman, you need to bring all four forms of the feminine out of the dark (unconscious) and into the light (conscious).

You can think of the archetypes as the Players on your very own leadership team. The archetypes can help you see who you are and what you need to develop in your effort to become more complete and successful.

Choose the answer that best describes you and your behavior. Once you complete the quiz, calculate your score to see which one of the Players needs development or nurturing and which needs toning down.

A= Mother = the Giver (teacher, nurse, nun, etc.)

B= Medium=the Translator (artist, dancer, psychologist, etc.)

C= Hetaira=the Relator (companion, hostess, mistress, etc.)

D= Amazon=the Doer (businesswoman, athlete, politician, etc.)
